Administrative Assistant

ODAA is seeking an Administrative Assistant in our London Ontario office for a Contract position from 5 September 2017 to 16 February 2018 to assist in the delivery of services to members during the annual membership renewal period.

The Administrative Assistant is a front-line worker for the ODAA. They are the first line of contact for current ODAA members and certified dental assistants. They report to the Executive Director and support the work of Case Managers. The Administrative Assistant communicates information regarding membership, certification, and continuing education requirements. They support the office workflow through member communication, data entry, and filing activities. Our team works hard and collaborates on problem-solving in a dynamic environment.

The ideal candidate will possess the following skills and abilities:

  • Knowledge of customer service which includes good communication skills both written and verbal.
  • Computer proficiency with knowledge of Microsoft Office and Outlook Express. Experience with member or client management software is an asset.
  • Strong time-management skills and organization.
  • Dedication to maintaining the professional and positive reputation of the Association.
  • Commitment to working as a team player.
  • Data entry proficiency (speed & accuracy).
  • Not-for-profit work or volunteer experience an asset.
  • Education as a dental receptionist or assistant is a strong asset, but not required for the right candidate.

This will be a full-time contract position of 30 hours per week, paid hourly at the rate of $17 per hour plus vacation pay.
